Polar is an iconic brand in the sports sector, specializing in watches and heart rate monitors for athletes. Present on Amazon for more than 10 years, the brand now sells on 12 marketplaces around the world.

The problem

Despite a solid foothold on Amazon, growth had stagnated for several years.
The brand was facing fierce competition, especially from Garmin, with a mainly defensive advertising positioning.
Amazon Ads campaigns (AMS + DSP) lacked aggressiveness at the top of the funnel, which hampered development.

Objective set:

Relaunch sales growth
while maintaining a high ROAS.

What we put in place

Our mission was to transform their advertising approach:

  • Reconstruction of the defensive strategy to optimize product and brand performance.

  • Creation of an offensive strategy focused on reputation, consideration and acquisition of new customers.

  • DSP: expanded targeting to users who have never purchased from Polar. Notoriety objective + consideration

  • AMS: Sponsored Products, Brands, Display campaigns — soon to be complemented by the TV format oriented to consideration/conversion.


Elimination of Garmin targeting that was considered unprofitable, in order to focus on more strategic targeting.


The results

In the world:

  • +203% in turnover
  • +68% in ROAS (from 6.4 to 10.8)


In Europe:

  • +64% in turnover
  • +79% ROAS (from 4.7 to 8.5)

These results were obtained in a few months, thanks to a more ambitious, more precise and better segmented strategy.
